Although you might be looking for long-term care, you still have to make sure that your loved one is safe in their own home. 

 

On the following pages we've put together a number of tips that you can follow to adapt a home environment for someone with dementia.  As you read the list of modifications, don’t be discouraged by the number of tips.  Some of these changes are small but the immediate result will be less stress on you and less stressful behaviour from the person with Alzheimer Disease (AD).
