There are many things that can be done to make life safer for the person with AD and to make life less stressful for the caregiver.  At first it does seem like a lot of work but most of these changes are actually minor and inexpensive to make.  Even if inconvenient, the tradeoff in terms of the welfare and safety of everyone concerned is well worth the effort.

Many of these tips are from CMHC, Alzheimer Society Toronto as well as from our own experience.
